The Uni-Brace adjustable bracing system was developed after receiving an overwhelming request to develop such as system that was both unique and an alternative to outdated “threaded rod and turnbuckles” or “50 x 50 Angle”. Uni-Brace looks good and is practical with no waste, welding or cutting involved. Can be braced to brace many other materials including non-Uni-Pier steel posts and timber.

Uni-Brace System

The Smart Bracing System

There are many situations in building with a need for the bracing of walls and floors. Often the bracing capacity actually required is not fully considered, unless it has been properly designed. The potential result can be failure, if the allowance is inadequate, or, if “over designed” the result can be sheer waste.

Uni-Brace was developed to make installation easy and, at the same time, provide a smart finished appearance. The unique telescopic design of Uni-Brace also combines the benefits of lightweight design as well as the ability to sustain normal loads.

Uni-Brace comes complete. All you need to do when installing is open the telescopic parts as required and secure with metal self-drilling and tapping Tek screws. The system is screw fixed to the parts of the structure being braced. The pre-installed bolts in the centre assembly are then tightened.

The only tools required are a drill, with driver bits capable of installing metal Tekscrews into steel, and clamps to hold the Uni-Brace© in position during installation.

Uni-Brace applies for cross bracing between piers/stumps, such as Uni-Pier and steel posts up to 3.6 metres in height and a maximum spacing of 4.8 metres. Uni-Brace – The Simple Bracing System

Uni-Brace comes complete. All you need to do when installing is open the telescopic parts as required and secure with metal self-drilling and tapping Tek screws. The system is screw fixed to the parts of the structure being braced. The pre-installed bolts in the centre assembly are then tightened.

 

1.
Supplied Fully Assembled

Uni-Brace arrive fully assembled, ready for use.

2.
Unfold & Adjust Alignment for fixing

Remove the tie zip tie strap and unfold the Uni-Brace to form an “X”

3.
Screw fixing to pier/stump posts

Adjusted to reach all four corners. Secure to top of the Uni-Pier posts with only one Metal Tek Screw at this stage, then secure to bottom of the Uni-Pier posts.

4.
Centralise the Uni-Brace position

Centralise the Uni-Brace to the position that is most suitable by lifting the central hub and adjusting the Telescopic Arms.

5.
Secure the four telescopic arms

Secure the four telescopic arms together with one Metal Tek Screw at this stage. This will lock the telescopic arms in place. Using an Allen Key, tighten the central hub in place.

6.
Install the second Metal Tek Screws to corners

Return to the four corners of the Uni-Pier/Uni-Brace ends and install the second Metal Tek Screw

7.
Install the second Metal Tek Screws to arms

To finish, install a second Metal Tek Screw to the Telescopic Arm of the Uni-Brace.

8.
Warning Labels

Ensure that no part of the “WARNING” label is visible. This ensures that the Uni-Brace is within safe operating limits.
